Her American Idol fiancé Paul McDonald popped the question after the couple met in March, E! Online reported.
Nikki, 23, who plays Rosalie Hale in the Twilight Saga films, showed off the sparkler on her left ring finger at the MTV Movie Awards, where she posed with her 26-year-old fiancé.
She told the website: "He's the one, he's the one."
Paul, who made it to the top eight of American Idol this season, is now planning to write songs inspired by his wife-to-be.
"He says he's going to release a Nikki Reed EP," said Nikki.
The starlet, who will be reprising her role as Rosalie for the fourth instalment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, has previously spoken of her love for Paul.
"I love him and I don't care," she told People.
"I've never met anyone like him. I've never met anyone who has such a good solid heart and comes from such a good solid family and is just a genuine person.
"We have the exact same sense of humour. I've never laughed so much with anyone as I do with him."
