After stumbling on stage during the CMT Music Awards in Nashville Wednesday night, Shania Twain posted a video assuring fans that she is doing fine.
"I didn't hurt myself," she said. "I have a bit of a sore stomach - that's about it." She added: "I never want to see those shoes again. Or maybe I should keep them as a souvenir?"
The country songstress was approaching the stage and making her way up the steps at the Bridgestone Arena when she slipped in her heels, falling and catching herself by sliding onto her knees. Twain quickly got up and laughed off her fall, receiving a roaring ovation from the audience, and continued onto the stage, where she presented the best male video of the year award to Blake Shelton (who did not attend the ceremony).
This week, Twain also announced that she has signed a two-year residency at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. The stay includes 60 dates a year kicking off in December 2012.
