You can't stop Adele. Somehow, she's managed to hang on to the top downloaded song spot for her track "Rolling in the Deep." Meanwhile, the other lady usually on our minds, Lady Gaga, has slipped from third most downloaded track to taking fourth place honors this week. So much for being on "The Edge of Glory": The songs don't seem to have much staying power.
What exactly does it mean to "roll deep"? Well, according to Adele, "The phrase 'rolling in the deep' is sort of my adaptation of a kind of slang, slur phrase in the UK called 'roll deep,' which means to have someone, always have someone that has your back, and you're never on your own, if you're ever in trouble you've always got someone who's going to come and help you fight it or whatever like that."
She doesn't need much support: Her track seems to be doing fine on its own, thanks to the strength of her vocals. Adele was also has another song, "Someone Like You," also making its way up. It moved 30 spots this week.
Just like we said last week, Tech N9ne would have a big record release. They were the top movers of the week, moving up 181 spots on the top downloaded artists' chart.
Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" was the biggest track to move up the download's list this week thanks to her new music video. Look for a special cameo from the Queen of Friday herself, Rebecca Black.
