Russell Brand has declined to take any share from his ex-wife Katy Perry's $44m fortune in their 'amicable' divorce.
Lawyers for the now estranged couple finalised the divorce papers on Tuesday, and the comedian does not want a cent from the popstar.
The two married in October 2010 and
did not sign a pre-nup, meaning everything they earned during their 14-month marriage is combined and halved.
According to Forbes magazine, the 'Firework' hitmaker earned a whopping $44m between May 2010 and May 2011, and Brand is legally entitled to $20m of it.
But Brand has reportedly done the honourable thing for his higher-earning ex-wife and won't touch a dime.
"This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person)," a source told TMZ.com.
