Amitabh Bachchan might have to undergo a fresh round of surgery after complications arose following his abdominal operation that had taken place on Saturday.
"Some more tests..more unpronounceable medication...& another visit to the OT...operation theater! Going to be a long stay (sic)," Big B tweeted on Thursday.
The star was scheduled to be discharged on Monday from Mumbai's posh Seven Hills Hospital, where Saturday's surgery took place, but a decision to keep him under observation was taken when he started complaining of pain.
The news of the complications was first confirmed by the 69-year-old actor on his blog on Wednesday. "I seek forgiveness (for not blogging regularly)...I will not be detailing any more...Some fresh medical issues have come up, I need to concentrate on the treatment," he had blogged.
Sources at the hospital informed that the actor was complaining of pain in the area where the surgery had been performed. Bachchan has been updating his fans with entries on his blog and Twitter account.
