Today I'm bringing back the Awkward and Awesome. It's been a few weeks since I've done a post like this and thought some things lately have warranted a mention in the ol' blog. So, let's go!
Awkward
- Lucy has become a lazy pants since we got home. I'm not sure if it's the Cincinnati humidity, the fact that she no longer has friends (Jack & Ozzy), or maybe she hates us for taking her claws out. {Yes, we did it. If you don't like the idea of declawing, I feel sorry for your leather couches.} Either way, I miss the old Lucy.
- The other day we went to the wonderful land of FedEx Kinkos. Our visit lasted about an hour. What were we there for you may ask? Printing our wedding invitations! Then the next morning I wake up at 6:30 to meet my mother at work to use her large cutting board - thing. After finishing the entire stack of invitation inserts my mother's friend informs me that the DATE IS MISSING!!! Are you serious? How could I have forgotten this most important part. I'm retarded.
- I've been babysitting every morning this week.
- I have yet to get my hair highlighted since coming home. That's usually on the agenda the very first day after we return. What is the world coming to?
- The other day I got a pretty hanging basket for our balcony with purple and yellow dahlias. Now if I could get another! And some herbs to display in the kitchen. Oh! And a house with a garden! That would be sweet.
- I ran 5 miles two days ago. I think 6.2 (or whatever a 10k is) will be easy peazy come June 11!
- On Cinco de Mayo we sat out on the patio of a local Mexicano restaurant and I got a ridonkulous tan line. It is slowly going away and the rest of the bod is catching up! Summer tans are awesome!
- I've been babysitting every morning this week. ($$)
- Something has been shipped to my house. It's for the wedding. I haven't told many people about it. And I don't think I'm going to. If it gets used, it will be a surprise! I hope a very good surprise!
