The Lyonheart K is the next generation Jaguar E-Type

Jaguar E-Type is one of the most luxury automotive designs ever penned. It's the kind of legendary that an auto constructor would be remiss not to relive.

Over the years, the British car industry has seen many legendary names disappear. Now, is the time for a new truly British car manufacture : LYONHEART CARS LTD.

LYONHEART CARS LTD. is the synonymous with rare, exclusive, super luxury cars, hand-built in a limitied edition.

 

  If you're mad about cars like we are (in a good and constructive way, of course), you will no doubt be in love with the clean flowing shapes of the 1960s classics. The Jaguar E-Type is easily one of the highest-ranking of these automobiles, and it has been pulling at the heart strings of motoring enthusiasts for over 40 years.
 

We already have a modern interpretation of the E-Type, in the form of the very pretty Eagle Speedster, but that still retains the same design elements of the classic.

If you are looking for an even more modern adaptation of the E-Type formula, then perhaps the new Lyonheart K is for you. Sure, it costs a fortune and then some more at €360,000 ($464,500) for the hardtop and €375,000 ($483,800) for the drop top, but you do get a thoroughly modern car in exchange.

It still looks unmistakably like an E-Type, but you will undoubtedly be able to tell that this car is from 2013, or 2014, because it is set to go into production in December.

The company is even based in Coventry, historic home of Jaguar, and what they are offering is really rather appealing. You get a lightweight aluminum chassis, adjustable dampers, and modern suspension. Power comes courtesy of a Cosworth-built five-liter V8, which is good for 567 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) – the car can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, before topping out at 300 km/h (186 mph.)

In addition, despite originally announcing a production run of 50 units, the company has revised the figure, which now stands at 250. However, if the car proves popular, there would be no reason for them not to build more, adopting the Pagani way of building cars - the Italians will still build you a Zonda now, despite the fact that the car has officially gone out of production and been replaced by the Huayra.

Lyonheart K Luxury Sports Car

 It’s been over a year since anybody has heard anything new about the Jaguar E Type-based Lyonheart K stunner. Fortunately, the Coventry-based manufacturer is back with fresh news about their very good looking ride. Apparently they will offer two variants of the Lyonheart K – convertible and coupe

Inspired by the 1960s’ E Class, the sports car features an aluminum multilink chassis and it was engineered as well as built by Envisage Group, UK. The design concept belongs to Bo Zolland and Robert Palm, founder of Classic Factory in Switzerland. Since the first appearance of the car back in 2012, some specifications have been changed for extra appeal.

These include 17 extra bhp, up from 550 bhp, and a torque of 516 lb-ft. The supercharged, 5.0-liter V8 engine can push the luxury runner to a top speed of 186 mph, while the 0-62 mph time is under 4 seconds. Depending on the body type and specifications that the client needs, the sultry Lyonheart K can be delivered to its buyer in 18-24 months.

Apparently only 250 units are scheduled for production for quite a long period of time: from December 2013 until summer 2015. The very exclusive vehicle will boast a quite prohibitive price as well: €360,000 (approx. $463,000) for the coupe version, and €375,000 ($483,000) for the convertible. Half of all units will be sold across Europe, 30 percent in China, and the remaining 20 percent in the Middle East. Looks like there is nothing for the US market just yet.
