Illiana's First time at the Zoo!

Went for a visit to the zoo on a freebie day, first wednesday of the month. It is Illiana's first trip to the Zoo, since she still isn't aware of EVERYTHING yet; she didn't have much of an interest on it. But she did have some wandering eyes, I can't wait until we come back again when she's bigger and know what is going on! haha...

Gilroy Garlic Festival 2011

So this pass weekend was the Gilroy Garlic Festival, it's a festival consisting of all food with the star ingredient garlic, music, events, and prizes. The weather was hot and it was PACKED with people. It's like an hr & 10 minutes drive from the city, but we we're stuck in jam packed traffic for an extra hour! So that sucked.

I started to daydream off because I was hungry and tired...

Illiana had fallen asleep half way there which was a relief for us, but she ended up waking up once we had hit traffic jam.

Juls concentrating on the road, there were plenty of idiot drivers out that day.

Since it was so packed and freakin scorching out under the sun we found ourselves a nice shaded spot to chill and enjoy our food. Illiana hella caught me snapping photos of her (with broccoli stuck on her mouth still).

Special Plate consist of 1 skewer of teriyaki chicken, 1 skewer of beef teriyaki, 1 veggie egg roll, fried rice, and chow mein. The chicken teriyaki was really good! And the veggie egg roll was on point.

We also decided to try the Tamale booth, it was pretty good; and I'm not that huge of a fan for tamales because it's so similar to the chinese Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice that I can't get pass the fact it's not. haha... Juls liked it tho.

Oh yea, I failed to mention I fell and scraped the shit outta my leg; there were so many hidden pot holes under the grassy harsh hay that my wedge caught into one and I fell knee forward. And it happened while we were walking TO the festival from the parking lot, so it was burning through out my whole day. Sucked balls and it still hurts like a bitch.

On a brighter note, I will leave you guys with Illi's 'MOB' face look.

Where have I been

[ Watching: E! Exclusive - Nicki Minaj ]

Hello,

I know I've been kind of missing these pass couple of days, Illiana got sick somehow; and it turned into a very bad fever, then into a very bad viral infection. We visited the ER like 3 nights in a row and by the 3rd time the hospital decided to hospitalize her so they can take care of her. Juls and I stayed by her side the entire time. Here is the ER where we been in multiple early mornings.

By the time we got admitted to our room it was like 6 in the morning, very dark. Here is the crib they had set up for Illiana. Looks like a jungle cage don't it? There must be some aggressive babies.

When we finally got admitted to our room we have a little television set to keep us sane.

Parents' wrist band tags to make sure we are the only ones and there aren't any impostors trying to steal our baby. You'll be surprise the crimes of people.

Finally a photo Illiana with daddy (Juls), this is when she has gotten A LOT better; she looked so much worst before. We were so worried. The feeling of feeling helpless when seeing your child suffering is the most horrible feeling ever.

But I'm so glad she is okay now, she's all playful and happy again! So that is the update on me, but don't worry! I will keep up with my postings! I hope you guys had a great weekend! Stay up and make it through another fresh week everyone! Take Care.

here she is! at 4 1/2 months! Can you tell she don't fit her cap? lol. She got a BIGGO head, that cap is for 6months! Makes her cheeks extraaa chubby and cuter! hehe. Thanks for asking about her you guys. She's great, growing slowly but surely; she recently started to baby chat a whole lot and hold toys on her own. For some reason she loves her feet, especially sucking on her big toe. hahha... gawd I love her. Hope y'all enjoy.

She's beautiful, I can see her features coming in day by day (: I couldn't have asked for more, she IS perfect, she is everything I ever wanted. But then again who doesn't say that about their baby? lol. Ya'll prolly heard that a bajillion times before, but it's true; they ARE perfect through their mama's eyes even down to the last crinkle on their nose :D Yanno, after this blessing experience it really opens up my eyes to what MATTERS MOST in life. How you may think oh you got a new whip u're HAPPY, but really you wont experience TRUE REAL happiness until you see you had brought another life to this world; it's a beautiful thang man. GAWD, I LOVE HER! Even tho it is hard, but what isn't in life?? I'd do anything for her. Me & Juls are extremely happy and sometimes we just take a moment and take it all in again. That, THIS, is REAL; how much we are in love with each other and from that we had created a beautiful baby girl. I can see both our features in her, she has my eyes (asian almond shaped eyes), my dimples, has her father's nose, my cupid's bow, and BOTH OUR LIPS. *sighs happily*... So any who, besides that; I am currently back at my mother's for the 1st month of Illi. Because it is a Chinese tradition that the first month of any child, the mother has to rest and gain all her energy and nutrients back. It's what we call "Chaw Yooht", where the mom (my mom) makes me this Alcohol-Ginger/Chicken soup to help me produce more breast milk for the baby; and this Ginger/Chicken & Rice dish to gain my nutrients back that I had lost after giving birth. You might wonder, "IS THIS ALL THAT YOU CAN EAT EVA???" and the answer is "YES"... sadly, yes ): this is all that I am allowed to eat for this ENTIRE month! I know, torture; the first week was okay. Not too bad, but now I am going crazy eating the same crap over and over. eugh... so tiring. NOT ONLY that, but I am NOT allowed to shower for the ENTIRE MONTH. You may be thinking "EWWW", I know right; imagine having to go thru that. The longest I ever been without a shower was 5 days and that was when I was a naive little child who was just damn lazy. But not its like eugh... torture! We are not allowed to get wet (including our hair) nor have any sort of wind hit us. Iono whatsup with that, I guess its so we wont get sick? We gotta drench in our soil for a month..."yay -_-" But thank god there is DRY SHAMPOO! Hallelujah! So that helped a little, good thing I dont 'stank' that easily. lol. Juls said surprisingly I don't stink yet. GEE HONEY, THANKS! I guess... lol. And ON TOP of all of that, I am NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE PREMISES; but people CAN visit tho. I can't leave because there's "WIND" out and "TOO MUCH LIGHT", iono... People and their traditions. But if it's good for the baby I'll do it. And I AM producing a little more milk at least =] so I guess it is working. So yea, that is the update with me; I am a prisoner with a baby. It gets pretty boring, so I think I'mma start blogging more on here for this month. So much spare time! Yippeeeee! Alright I g2g loves! Illi is waking up from her nap, gotta go feed and change her! The Show Goes On

I just had to come on and post up this memorable day. Im in bed and I could not fall asleep for the life of me, ever since this far along my pregnancy I've been having a difficult time falling asleep. Guess Baby Illi is just like mommy-->Insomniac<--- that's not good. lol. So I was lying in bed and I went on my phone to google up how to fall asleep while pregnant. I got a few things that kinna helped me understand and have a reference for future nights like this (which will happen). In case there are some upcoming mommies out there like me who are having trouble sleeping like me can use some of these tricks and tips. Here ya go!

1. Go to bed drowsy.

Sometimes the issue is that you are going to bed wound up and not able to sleep because you are not physically or mentally ready to sleep. By entering your bed, only when truly ready to sleep, you increase the likelihood of actually succeeding. To help with this avoid caffeine after early afternoon, don't exercise vigorously past late afternoon, and don't have heavy discussion before bed or in bed. Doing relaxation alone or with your partner can be helpful.

2. Try a sleep inducing snack.

Comfort food isn't always bad. There are some snacks that might actually be helpful in promoting sleep. The warm milk or turkey can do the trick. The key when pregnant is to not overdo it and wind up giving yourself heartburn which keeps you awake.

3. Warm water.

A bath or shower can not only relax you and soothe soreness that accompanies pregnancy, but it can also help you prepare for sleep. This works before bedtime as well as in the middle of the night. For a double dose, trying reading in the tub to help clear your mind.

4. Reading or other mindless work.

Reading, doing small craft projects or even a tiny bit of mindless television can help you shut down your brain. In pregnancy you may feel like your mind is racing with all you need to do and think about. By giving yourself a chance to shut it off you can help prepare yourself for sleep. Avoid reading tense novels, mysteries or scary books if that upsets you in anyway. I also do not recommend pregnancy books for this time period, though baby name books seem to do well.

5. Get up.

When all else fails, don't lay in bed. Get up, do something, even if it's just changing locations. Set a time limit of 30 or 60 minutes that you'll stay in bed trying to fall asleep or back to sleep. Fighting it can only be more frustrating. And sometimes you can be very productive in the middle of the night alone. Some say that this helps you prepare for the sleepless nights in parenting ahead.

But anywho, shall I say YESTERDAY technically was the official day of San Francisco Giants day! Champions of the 2010 World Series baby!!! Ain't that some shit, so far this year is ending pretty well! :) Even though we may have been shit talked left and right bout us making it to the World Series and what not; we showed them fcukers!!! Riiiight! We proved them wrong and what makes it SO MUCH FRESHER THAN FRRRESH KICKS is the fact that WE LEFT THE MARK at THEIR HOME. hahaha!!! bitches. WE OWN IT boyyyyyyyy! Stomped on them 4-1 hell fcuk yess. shut them shit talkers up! Ain't got nothin to say now do they after we took over! I'm so glad to be alive to witness such a mark in History of Sports. Alright enough of that, Halloween has came and passed with a blink of an eye! This year I went over to thee sister's place to help her pass out candy to her trick-or-treaters since I'm preggo it's best for me to stay in doors and plus her hubby havent gotten to go trick-or-treating with her and her babies at all. Its about time for him to take a break from passing out candies every year and to go out and enjoy a night with his familia on Halloween (= Since I don't have any costume I just came up with a last minute costume with the things I had at home.

And I had came up with Minnie Mouse, lol. A very cheap costume, but hey! It's better than nothing. I finally applied makeup, been a hot minute since I wore any shadows and what not. I just threw on my Disney Land mickey mittens and ears and I was set, applied some rosey ass cheeks and a mouse nose and I was set. Oh! I also taped on my Velcro hair bow onto the ears so it looked more Minnie! hahha... Ironically my bow was red and polk-a-dotted! So it all worked out in the end ^_^V I had a overall great Halloween, very chill and relaxing. Next year I will have Illiana dressed up for Halloween for sure! :D hehe.
