Unfortunately, it's true. Every single one of us knows someone, knows of someone, or will know someone with breast cancer in our lifetime. In 2011, The
American Cancer Society estimated that 39,520 people will die from breast cancer. Somber facts.
The good news? So many people fight to find a cure, not only during the month of October, but all year long. In 2010 there were 1.6 million people who participated in the well-known
Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and over 100,000 volunteers. This year there are 16 international races in 11 different countries. {There is actually one in 4 days in Naples. Had I known this maybe I would have planned ahead and taken a little trip down for a foot race. Maybe next year!}
Since I've been on a little bracelet kick lately with the
Love for Lokomotiv Memory Bracelets, I thought it would be a great to offer some Breast Cancer Awareness bracelets to pair with your Memory Bracelet. Big thanks to
My Style for offering so many great items in support of the cause. Take a look at the
Shop Pink gallery and grab some of your favorites while they're donating some of the proceeds!
The Little Letter Bracelet offers six suede colors to choose from and three colors for the letters.
This little one from Shameless Jewelry would be a great gift for your little sister. Give your friends and family the boost they need to recognize the need for knowledge and action at a young age.
For those who have been diagnosed, or know someone close to them who has, this saying could not speak truer. Maybe Ash over at
Carpe Diem would like this as well? ha!
Of course there's going to be an option for all you sporty ladies out there! Show your "Strength, Balance, and Endurance" as you fight for the cure.
I think this one is my favorite. It's beautiful and comes in four different color combinations. There is even a
Butterfly Project Necklace for all you chain lovers out there. I'd have to say I could be a little partial to this one right now because it would look great with my Love for Lokomotiv Memory Bracelet.
